Analog Multi-Meter

I came across this analog meter at a goodwill for three bucks. My dad has been telling me about how they can have more benefits than a digital multi-meter, like detecting quick voltage and resistance spikes, like voltage transients from coils and motors. It's broken in one spot but can be repaired easily. Here are some pictures:
